Things To Do

Sligo offers visitors some of Ireland's most captivating scenery. It's no surprise the Poet W.B. Yeats was inspired by the landscape including the mythical mountains of Benbulben and Knocknarea. County Sligo has the largest concentration of Stone Age structures in Ireland , including Carrowmore Tombs which predates Newgrange and is older than the pyramids.

The County is an idyllic place to experience the great outdoors, where there are numerous walking trails and hikes to enjoy for all levels. The coast of Sligo has become world renowned for it's long beautiful stretches of beaches and swell of waves that are every surfers dream.
